Pre-Con Coverage: Food Options Outside Of The Double Tree Hotel

One of the first questions people ask about Pantheacon is about food options in the area. What is there to eat? Is it within walking distance? Is it expensive? There are three dining options on site and a food cart that is available to those at the Con. The Sushi and Steak restaurants inside of the Double Tree hotel can be pricey and Sprigs (the main restaurant) is often crowded. And the coffee stand in the lobby can often have a line that goes around the corner, making your morning dose of caffeine impossible.
Due to the complication of parking, tight ritual and workshop schedules and the sometimes crowded hotel restaurant, people might need alternatives in the area. Here is a short list of local restaurants that someone could access easily from the Double Tree hotel. Most are within walking distance and others might require short drive.

Pagan Newswire Collective Bay Area is working to get a preview of the Sprigs Restaurant menu for Pantheacon, they do a specific menu for the event every year. We do not have the menu at this time but one can expect several choices, from cheeseburgers to a pasta dish to be on the list. Average costs can range from $7.00 to about 15.00 for a meal.

The Hotdog place is great for a quick snack at a reasonable price . There are also two Denny’s within easy walking distance, and a McDonald’s about half a mile up the road.
